No. Not exactly. Over the past couple years alone I've sold close to a thousand personal items. That's a lot of stuff. And, for every one item with a strong resale value - there are at least five items that get tossed or donated. My strength is knowing which objects hold value and which objects are holding you down. For around the same price as scheduling a plumber, clients schedule me to come over and evaluate their "things" to help them make decisions they feel too overwhelmed to make. If you need help selling specific items - I partner with a well known national auction house that handles that part of the process. 

Been there. Got the T-shirt. Let me tell ya: I have mad skills when it comes to editing and purging. But, "family estate clean-out" was even overwhelming for me. It's one thing when I am personally detached from items in question. It's a completely different story when every single item holds sentimental value. What do you keep? What do you sell? I remind potential clients during consultations that the cost of having me at their side for a morning or afternoon while we sort through room after room of belongings is always offset (if not completely zeroed-out) once they sell an item or two that I pulled from a box they planned to take to the dump.
